Kerry has managed our performance management change project. We are embedding leadership behaviours into our culture and performance process and rating for our senior laser population. Kerry has helped to define and create the approach, specific conversation guidance, leader engagement and briefing materials and the mechanics behind the process. She has supported engagement of the hr population throughout the project. This has involved group calls and communication as well as 1-1 support. Throughout the project Kerry has ensured all parties are kept up to date and driven the project forward in line with the plan.

We worked with Jarred Consulting to help us develop a series of technical competency frameworks for our organisation. It was a complex exercise, which required understanding of multiple international departments and differing stakeholder perceptions and our consultant, Sarah, guided us effectively through the process and helped to ensure robust design, development and calibration of the frameworks. The Jarred team worked with the team at CMS before, during and after our merger to provide operational and strategic support across a number of workstreams. The team provided support on the operational HR side – assisting with TUPE, benefits packages, headcount and salary modelling. They also provided invaluable support on our cultural integration – running workshops around the dynamics of change, and our emerging common culture.

Kerry was our acting head of HR to cover a maternity leave during perhaps the most eventful 12 month period in the firm’s recent history. She supported on all the groundwork in advance of our merger, in particular implementing a new recruitment and onboarding process and a new approach to benefits. We have worked with Sarah for the last three years. A partnership, which began with Sarah designing and delivering our ‘How we talk about Pay’ workshop. This was a new workshop, I wanted to introduce for all our people managers, to aid them in the often difficult conversations about salary reviews. Over the last three years, through the delivery of this workshop, she has supported over 90 Managers to have far more effective and consistent salary review conversations. In the last two years, I have been able to measure the effectiveness of the training having seen an improvement in scores in our People survey relating to reward conversations.

Sarah has a great talent for bringing together the theoretical with real life practical guidance. Our Mangers, come away from her sessions, not only saying how easy she is to get along with but how practical the support has provided to them is. She does not back away from supporting people with some more challenging scenarios, she is straight talking but not blunt.

In addition to our Pay workshops, Sarah designed and delivered workshops to support our Mangers through Coronavirus with a series of workshops called ‘ How we lead through a crisis’. In addition to these she facilitated a one day workshop with the Leadership team (CEO & Direct reports). Sarah, combined her crafts to lead an emotionally challenging session and draw all that was discussed to a conclusion with actions. Not an easy task.

Without a doubt, Sarah cares about what she has designed and how she delivers it. She also listens and applies what she has heard to what is needed. I have never felt we are getting a standard PowerPoint deck, to the challenge set. I look forward to working with Sarah on a number of other development initiatives.

Rachel Ward and the team from Jarred took a lead role in helping us to develop, model, implement and integrate a new secretarial model for the firm. This was a complicated and highly emotive change projects against the backdrop of a huge merger and the team delivered an excellent result with consummate handling throughout of lots of difficult stakeholder dynamics.

In the year leading up to my “application” to join the Equity Partnership at RPC, I was fortunate to have Clint as my coach/mentor to guide me through the process.
