Martin Tonko
Martin is an experienced global Executive Coach based in Innsbruck / Austria. His focus is on coaching senior executives in ministries, semi-governmental and private organizations.
Before focusing exclusively on executive coaching, Martin worked as a scientist, a science manager, a consultant and as an executive in different leadership positions, including; Head of Science and Knowledge Management (Medical University Innsbruck), Head of Research and Innovation (Private Medical University Salzburg), CEO (Clinical Research Center Salzburg), General Manager (International Economic Senate, Presidency Prof. Mohammed Yunus), Chief Strategy Officer (GIZ KSA), Academic Vice Dean (Technical Trainers College Riyadh) and Director International Cooperation and Business Development (AlKhaleej Training and Education, KSA). As an executive coach, Martin works globally with senior executives (with a focus on Saudi Arabia and GCC) within various governmental ministries including Health, Education, Labor and Social Development, Interior, and Foreign Affairs. Martin also works with semi-governmental organizations including the Public Investment Fund, the Saudi Arabian Food & Drug Authority, and the Colleges of Excellence. Martin also works with executives within private organizations in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors, hospitals, banks, and investment firms.
Martin holds a PhD in Life Sciences/Molecular Genetics from the University of Innsbruck, Austria and a MAS in Knowledge Management from Danube University Krems. He is a Certified Systemic Coach (Austria EN ISO 17024), an ICF certified Erickson Certified Professional Coach, a certified Marshall Goldsmith Stakeholder Centered Coach (individuals and teams), an Accelerated Coach Excellence Certified Coach, and a GTCI Foundations certified team coach; he is also e.g. WPB5, Principles You & Hogan certified.
