Rebecca Sloggett
Associate
Rebecca is a graduate recruitment specialist who gained her knowledge and expertise with one of the world’s largest professional services firm. She has been working as an Associate with Jarred Consulting since 2010 assisting within the graduate recruitment sector and responsible for pre-selection and interviewing on behalf of legal clients, including Ashurst, Berwin Leighton Paisner and Simmons & Simmons.
Responsible for the smooth running of the worldwide secondment programme at Ernst & Young, she liaised with partners and was responsible for selecting viable candidates and project managing the process ensuring that successful secondees were well represented. Her career at Ernst & Young continued within the graduate recruitment function where she was responsible for the organisation of in-house recruitment days, extensive interviewing, screening and psychometric testing and worked at a very high volume level. Rebecca was also heavily involved in the University milkround programme, organising events and open days and constantly striving to attract high level candidates. She has been involved in candidate selection for a number of years and became interested in interviewer skills training within the organisation, an area which would see her using her techniques to train senior management level staff.
Rebecca has a 2:1 degree in languages from the University of Reading. Following her career at Ernst & Young, she moved to Singapore to broaden her cultural experience and her career took her into teaching. She gained knowledge of how a worldwide language school is run and helped to achieve targets within the organisation by using face-to-face techniques of the well practiced ‘Berlitz method’. She thoroughly enjoyed this new challenge and ensured the continued development of her interpersonal skills and was well respected by her clients. On her return to the UK, Rebecca took a career break to raise her three boys and is now enjoying her new challenge as a Jarred Consultant focusing on the graduate recruitment sector once again.
