Samantha Glendinning
Sam has over 30 years of resourcing experience across a wide range of industries, including private sector work within financial and professional services firms, public sector and running her own recruitment consultancy.
Sam’s recruitment career began at PwC in London, where she worked for 11 years. She was part of a national team responsible for the recruitment of graduate and experienced hires across Audit, Tax and Consultancy, covering the full recruitment process from attraction to offer. She was also part of the core recruitment team when PwC implemented the Legal offering into the business. From here, Sam joined Fidelity International in their Human Resources team in Kent, before starting her own recruitment consultancy in 2000.
Since then Sam has provided recruitment services to a wide range of private and public sector clients, including full time interim roles at HSBC, recruiting International Managers for the prestigious International Management Programme and more recently in 2023 recruiting for the Tax Specialist Programme at HMRC. A significant achievement during this role included implementing TopScore Technologies Digital Assessment Platform into the Programme to facilitate the hire of 750 Tax Specialists. Current and previous clients include Police Now, Civil Service Fast Stream, Unilever, Mars, HSBC, Border Force, TfL, Eversheds, PwC, BDO, Alpha FMC and Mercedes F1.
Sam has also been involved in the PwC Partner and Director promotions, working alongside senior PwC Partners and Directors as a panel member to support with interviews. Current engagements include supporting universities with skills sessions in interviewing, presentations and group tasks across the country. This has enabled her to provide insight to students to allow them to develop employability skills, a role which she has found particularly rewarding. She has also recently taken on a coaching role, supporting learners who have undertaken technical bootcamps at academic institutions, reviewing CVs, advising on LinkedIn profiles and preparing them for interviews and assessment centres.
Sam is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Personnel and Development and is BPS Level A and B accredited and is based near Sevenoaks, Kent.
