Moving strategy
When you’ve helped clients navigate change as many times as we have, you get to notice a few things. We’ve realised this pivotal time can be one for trepidation and uncertainty, or an opportunity for a fresh start. A process like HR transformation and relocation, for example, can be complex, but success is integral to the company's health. So how do you get the balance right between the value of legacy and moving into the future? By using a fresh pair of eyes to ensure talent strategies are in line with business objectives. With critical thinking and practical know-how, we believe this kind of review can be just what’s needed to revitalise everything from a department to a whole organisation. We had this in mind when we helped an international law firm transition its HR and operations hundreds of miles to a new office. No mean feat. But it was never going to be about picking up a department and putting it somewhere else. We knew that this would be an opportune moment for our client to stop, look at the horizon and step forward with confidence. So what did we do?- We took stock of what was already in place by examining existing policies, procedures and processes. We put our expertise to work identifying gaps.
- Then we made relevant updates and streamlined the delivery.
- Compiling a detailed six-week induction and knowledge transfer plan meant the new team of HRAs could onboard with ease.
- The know-how folder resource we produced meant the team understood the processes from end to end, and it included relevant templates.
- With a wider view, we advised on changes needed in the business and within HR to ensure the adoption of new ways of working.
